When the Elmia Wood forestry fair opens its doors again on 2 June it will have an exciting new feature: Let’s talk – a meeting place of interested and committed guest speakers discussing innovative and sustainable forestry. Next autumn is the premiere for Elmia’s new transport fair, Elmia Nordic Transport Infrastructure, which is being held in parallel with Elmia Nordic Rail. Together with the conference Elmia Nordic Future Transport Summit, the fairs form the Nordic region’s most important meeting place for the development of tomorrow’s transport and infrastructure on 8–10 October 2019

New fair manager of Elmia Garden
Elmia Garden is the trade fair that brings together the entire garden industry in Jönköping every autumn. Since the start of this year Kristin Koefoed has taken over from Henrik Landén as manager of the fair. Kristin has worked at Elmia for many years and has been working with Elmia Garden since 2003, partly as the manager of the arena’s experiential and inspirational arrangements.
A well-received new concept plus satisfied exhibitors at Elmia Agriculture 2016
Elmia Agriculture 2016 was the launch of the Swedish agriculture industry’s new national arena. The event met industry expectations and was much appreciated. “Our work to create the new national arena for agriculture has succeeded,” commented Elmia Agriculture project manager Jonas Bentving. “When the industry changes, the leading specialist fair must also develop with it.”

Elmia Garden presents the garden trends for 2017: Green in the Garden, The Green Lab and Vego Garden. Next year we will continue to see garden elements featured in interior decorating and fashions, in the kitchen and food preparation, on the balcony and at nursery schools.

On 5–6 October it’s time again for Elmia Garden, northern Europe’s biggest meeting place for the garden industry. The focus at this year’s fair is on upcoming park trends with new products for public green spaces and concepts in both vertical and horizontal cultivation.
Passenger focus increasingly important
Buses, routes and keeping to a tight timetable have always been the main priorities. But during the seminar entitled Who owns the relationship with the passenger?, the focus was firmly on the customer. - Once we’ve expanded public transport as far as possible, the industry is quite widely agreed that the next step is customer orientation,” said Henrik Dagnäs, Head of Marketing at Nobina.
New products with added value
Splendor Plant presented its new First Edition series at Elmia Garden. Grown in a plum-coloured pot, the bright, beautiful plants in lovely colours are equally well suited to public spaces and private gardens.
Organic is a growing trend in the seed business
Hobby growers who start from seed are increasingly interested in using organic seeds. Ideally the plants can be grown on balconies and then eaten. This was one of the major trends presented by Impecta Fröhandel at Elmia Garden.
Growing plants at home is trendy
Nelson Garden launched a world first at Elmia Garden. Called Easy to grow, it is a starter kit with everything in one package for growing tomato, lettuce and cabbage seedlings.
Marcel Jansen helps companies to create inspiration
Marcel Jansen is a marketing consultant with a passion for retail and horticulture. He knows how to transform a shop containing individual products into a space filled with feeling and context. This makes him a source of inspiration and a trends expert who is consulted by many companies.
Dutch exhibitors test the Swedish market
A trade fair is a good venue for getting a feel for a new market and testing it out. Sometimes that process is easier when it’s shared. This approach was used by the Dutch company Greenn in its joint stand, where four different companies exhibited together for the first time.
