Press Invitation: Welcome to the presentation ceremony for the Elmia Garden Award 2017

The Elmia Garden Award for garden product of the year honours new, innovative product solutions that simplify gardening work. It is the Swedish garden industry’s major product prize and the winner often becomes a well-known bestseller.

The award ceremony will be attended by Kristin Koefoed, fair manager of Elmia Garden plus representatives of the winning company.

Time & place:

Pom & Flora Café, Odengatan 39, Stockholm (in the studio, with entrance from the back yard).

New fair manager of Elmia Garden

Elmia Garden is the trade fair that brings together the entire garden industry in Jönköping every autumn. Since the start of this year Kristin Koefoed has taken over from Henrik Landén as manager of the fair. Kristin has worked at Elmia for many years and has been working with Elmia Garden since 2003, partly as the manager of the arena’s experiential and inspirational arrangements.

New product releases and the retail trade were in focus at this year’s Elmia Garden.

Elmia Garden 2016 offered garden trendspotting, an exhibition of the nominated entries for the Elmia Garden Award, the Perennial of the Year 2017, Createshop for florists, inspirational lectures and the market’s new products for next year.

Planting ring in concrete wins the 2017 Elmia Garden Award!

The 2017 Elmia Garden Award for the garden product of the year has gone to Design Björn Lidbrandt for his planting ring made of concrete. The product offers an effective solution to protect trees and bushes when robot lawnmowers cut the grass. The ring also becomes a stylish feature in the garden.

Trendspotting: Innovative thinking, green offices and growing food

Elmia Garden presents the garden trends for 2017: Green in the Garden, The Green Lab and Vego Garden. Next year we will continue to see garden elements featured in interior decorating and fashions, in the kitchen and food preparation, on the balcony and at nursery schools.

Wild and bushy arrangements were created during Createshop

New to Elmia Garden this year is Createshop, a workshop where 16 participants came to Jönköping to create their own unique flower arrangements under the guidance of florist and inspirationalist Nicklas Jensen.
