Press release -
Press Invitation: Green parks, the unique and the edible in focus at Elmia Garden
On 5–6 October it’s time again for Elmia Garden, northern Europe’s biggest meeting place for the garden industry. The focus at this year’s fair is on upcoming park trends with new products for public green spaces and concepts in both vertical and horizontal cultivation.
In cooperation with the Swedish industry organisation Blomsterfrämjandet we are presenting the upcoming season’s clearest green trends, which have been named Green in the Garden, The Green Lab and Vego Garden. The trends for 2017 will be outlined and demonstrated in a number of ways. Elitplantstationen presents the best berries and Perennagruppen presents Perennial of the Year 2017. The press showing will take place on Wednesday 5 October at 12.00 on the stage in Hall D.
Elmia Garden Award 2017
We will also reveal the shortlisted candidates for the Elmia Garden Award – Garden Product of the Year for 2017. In 2016 this prestigious prize went to 100% reclaimed soil. This year’s fair includes an exhibition of all the shortlisted candidates for the 2017 award.
NEW THIS YEAR – Createshop in flower arranging
The industry’s leading actors are exhibiting on the trade fair floor and the stage programme offers inspiring lecturers, competitions and events. New events this year include the Createshop in flower arranging for florists, which will be held on the stage in Hall C on Wednesday 5 October from 12.00–14.00.
