Elmia Lastbil 2022 consolidated its position as the natural arena to take the Swedish transport and haulage industry into the future. The four days brought the key issues into real focus, and also seeded new collaborations. Together, we could strengthen efforts towards the green transition and other vital issues for the sector.
A good mood and a longing to meet again characterised Elmia Wood 2022 with its many satisfied visitors and exhibitors. Nearly 26,000 visitors walked determinedly around the trail that took them to over 270 exhibitors from 22 different countries.
This year's Elmia Subcontractor will be moved forward by one week and will take place over the period 15-17 November. This also means that, from Autumn 2022, the fair will be held over three days.
The Nordic region's largest railway fair, Elmia Nordic Rail, which would have taken place in October 2021, has been moved forward and will be held 10-12 October 2023.
New dates for the exhibition Elmia Lastbil have now been set. The national and international venue for the haulage and transport industry will on display already on 2-5 June in 2021, at Elmia, Jönköping.
Due to the COVID-19 (coronavirus) outbreak and the ramifications for the truck and haulage industry concerned, Elmia Lastbil is postponed from August 2020 to 2021. The decision has jointly been taken by the three organisations responsible for the trade show, Elmia AB, Sveriges Åkeriföretag and Albinsson & Sjöberg, in consultation with major business partners.
How can more goods shipments be moved to the rail network to ensure Sweden’s environmental goals in the transport sector? What will tomorrow’s transport systems and infrastructure look like? How should the Swedish Transport Administration use the record sums currently being invested in Swedish infrastructure? How should the industry solve the great need for skills supply?
