Press release -
Elmia Lastbil postponed to 2021
Due to the COVID-19 (coronavirus) outbreak and the ramifications for the truck and haulage industry concerned, Elmia Lastbil is postponed from August 2020 to 2021.
The decision has jointly been taken by the three organisations responsible for the trade show, Elmia AB, Sveriges Åkeriföretag (The Swedish Association for Road Transport Companies) and Albinsson & Sjöberg, in consultation with major business partners.
New dates for Elmia Lastbil 2021 will be announced as soon as possible.
– We are closely following the Covid-19 pandemic and its consequences on our customers’ business. It is a complex and challenging situation where we closely need to analyse and manage each tradeshow /event based on its specific possibilities and requirements.
The decision to move Elmia Lastbil has been taken in close dialogue with industry representatives all with the aim to optimize conditions for everyone involved.
Now, we are looking forward to an even stronger Elmia Lastbil, in 2021, says Lotta Frenssen, CEO, Elmia AB.
– Elmia Lastbil is a very important venue for the entire haulage industry. By moving the tradeshow to 2021 we once again manifest Elmia Lastbil as the meeting place for our industry – critical for logistics and thus society. The perfect mix of important political questions, experience exchange and the latest innovations and networking at Elmia Lastbil generate new ideas and create long term business development, says Rickard Gegö, CEO, Sveriges Åkeriföretag
– We all stand behind this decision and are currently exploring new alternatives to create industry related events. Print as well as digital magazine entail a solid foundation for a continuous correspondence with the exhibitors and visitors of Elmia Lastbil, says Eva-Marie Andersson, CEOAlbinsson & Sjöberg.
