When the Nordic region’s biggest forestry fair, SkogsElmia, concluded its 2019 edition, it was with a positive mood among both exhibitors and visitors. The theme of this year’s fair was the forest ownership of the future. More than 300 exhibitors from 21 countries assembled and a total of 20, 438 visitors attended.
Thursday 6 June marks the start of the Nordic region’s biggest forestry fair. The theme is tomorrow’s forest ownership. More than 300 exhibitors from 21 countries are on the spot. There will be sweaty competitions, prestigious award presentations and new products and services from many exhibitors.
The new-generation forest owners are increasingly managing their own forests. At least as important as the yield is to manage the forests in a long-term and environmentally sound way. This approach will be in focus at SkogsElmia, which will be held next summer on 6–8 June 2019 in the forest south of Jönköping. The new fair manager for SkogsElmia is Mattias Pontén.
Expertise, new products and innovative strength – they’re all assembled in the same place as SkogsElmia opens its gates in the forest south of Jönköping from 4 to 6 June. World premieres at this year’s fair include a nimble hybrid forwarder and interactive spectacles that enable forest owners to see their forests in a totally new way.
