Press invitation: The industry’s future at Elmia Subcontractor

Elmia Subcontractor is Sweden’s biggest industry event and a clear indicator of the health of the manufacturing industry and what’s happening both today and in the future. On 14–17 November it’s time for the fair’s 2017 edition.

The manufacturing industry is evolving faster than ever. Keeping up to date in order to maintain a strong competitive position has never been more important.

Business deals and industrial development are the distinctive features of Elmia Subcontractor, northern Europe’s leading trade fair for the manufacturing industry and its customers. Here 1,200 exhibiting suppliers meet with thousands of purchasers, product developers, design engineers and business leaders from the entire industry. New contacts, new solutions and above all new deals are on the agenda.

In addition to being the Nordic region’s largest exhibition and marketplace for suppliers to the manufacturing industry – this year with several hundred new companies more than last year – we also lay the groundwork for the future with a range of new offerings.

We present the Internet of Things as a new exhibitors’ segment and open up the doors to the new Subcontractor IoT Arena, which is filled with concrete examples of products being developed and improved with the aid of connected technology.

Also new this year is our Pop-up Expo, an exhibition with a daily new focus plus exhibitors on a current topic, which is then followed up on stage. And don’t miss the premiere of Subcontractor Jumpstart, where technology-driven start-ups get a minute each to pitch their ideas to a jury of experienced industry figures and compete for an innovation cheque worth 100,000 kronor.

The popular innovation arena Subcontractor InnoDex will of course also be here this year, as will an in-depth and future-oriented stage programme.
