Press release -
Elmia Subcontractor postponed until 2021
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on public gatherings, the foremost arena for the manufacturing industry, Elmia Subcontractor, will be unable to take place as planned in November 2020.
The decision has been made after careful consideration and in consultation with exhibitors and partners.
“This situation is very difficult to analyse. At present position, we unfortunately have no other option but to continue to focus on adapting. Although we tried to keep to the original date for as long as possible, major trade fairs require a lot of planning and preparation, which has forced us to take the difficult decision not to host Elmia Subcontractor 2020,” says Lotta Frenssen, CEO of Elmia AB.
“We know just how important the trade fair is, and many people have said that this year’s Elmia Subcontractor would be the most important one to date, so it’s especially sad to be unable to host this year’s fair as planned,” says Helena Åhs, Project Manager for Elmia Subcontractor.
The project team is now working flat-out to offer an alternative to all the participants to enable them to establish new contacts and do business, and will be in touch shortly with more details.
Next year’s Elmia Subcontractor is scheduled to take place from 9 to 12 November 2021.
Elmia Subcontractor has been organised at Elmia since 1975. It boasts around 1,200 exhibitors from 30 countries and each year generates business worth several billion Swedish kronor.
Elmia AB is a leading Nordic trade fair organiser. Each year it arranges fairs within a wide range of business areas, as well as conferences, congresses, and events.
